Driveways, paved patios, retaining walls and boundary walls — engineered and finished to handle Dubai's heat, UV and villa drainage needs. Distinct from soft landscaping, and built to last. From AED 45,000.
"Outdoor renovation" usually gets lumped into a single conversation, but it's really two different disciplines. Hardscaping is everything hard, structural and surfaced — driveways, paved patios and terraces, retaining walls, boundary walls, steps, and the bases that pergolas and shade structures sit on. It's the groundwork that has to be engineered correctly before anything soft goes in around it.
This is a distinct trade from soft landscaping — planting, lawns, irrigation and garden design — which we scope as a separate service. Many projects need both, and where they do, we sequence hardscaping first so paving, walls and drainage falls are already in place before beds are planted and irrigation lines go in.
In Dubai specifically, hardscaping has to work with the climate, not against it. Materials that look right in a showroom can fade, crack or trap uncomfortable surface heat within a few summers if they're not specified for direct UV exposure and constant thermal cycling. We select and detail every paved and built surface with that in mind.
From a single driveway to a full outdoor structural scope — one contract covering paving, walls, drainage and shade structure bases.
New driveway construction or resurfacing of cracked, faded or subsided existing paving, with correct sub-base preparation for vehicle loads.
Outdoor paving in natural stone or porcelain for patios, terraces and pathways, selected for UV stability and long-term colour retention.
Engineered retaining walls for level changes, raised beds and sloped boundaries, built to manage soil pressure and drainage correctly.
New and rebuilt boundary and garden walls in block, stone-clad or rendered finishes, matched to community guidelines where required.
Steps and level transitions between garden, patio and pool areas, built with slip-resistant treads suited to bare feet and pool decks.
Correctly footed and levelled bases for pergolas and shade structures, coordinated with our steel structure team where a steel frame is used.
Permeable paving systems that let water drain through the surface rather than pool on it — useful around pool decks and low-lying garden areas.
Timber-look composite and natural stone decking, chosen for weather resistance rather than materials that warp, splinter or overheat in direct sun.
A driveway or patio laid without proper sub-base preparation and drainage falls will crack, sink or pool water within a couple of summers — no matter how good the surface material looks on day one. Retaining and boundary walls carry real structural loads from soil and water pressure, and getting the engineering wrong shows up as bulging, cracking or failure months or years later, usually after the surrounding landscaping has already been planted around it.
That's why we treat hardscaping as its own trade with its own sequencing, rather than an afterthought bolted onto a planting scheme. Falls, compaction, and wall engineering are set correctly the first time, so the surfaces above them last for decades rather than needing to be dug up and redone.
Once the hard structure is in and tested, it becomes the foundation for everything that follows — from soft landscaping and planting to pool deck areas that tie into a pool renovation, or an outdoor room built on a steel-framed extension.
Hardscaping matters most where plots are large enough for driveways, boundary walls and multiple paved outdoor zones.
Generous plot sizes and long driveways across Palmera, Saheel and Mirador make resurfacing and boundary wall work a common request as these villas mature.
Large bespoke mansions with substantial driveways, entrance courts and boundary walls that call for hardscaping specified at the same level as the house itself.
Among Dubai's earliest villa communities, where original driveway and garden paving is now old enough that resurfacing is a natural part of a wider renovation.

Ask on WhatsAppHardscaping covers the hard, structural and surfaced elements of an outdoor space — driveways, paved patios, retaining walls, boundary walls, steps and decking. Landscaping covers the soft, living elements — planting, lawns, irrigation and garden design. Most outdoor projects use both, and we scope hardscaping and soft landscaping together where a project needs it, but they are different disciplines with different materials, sequencing and trades involved. Our dedicated landscaping service covers the planting side.
Natural stone and porcelain paving generally perform best in Dubai's climate — both resist UV fading and hold up to years of direct sun without cracking, unlike some lower-grade concrete or asphalt finishes that can degrade faster. Porcelain in particular has become popular for driveways and terraces because it doesn't stain or fade the way some natural stones can without proper sealing. We advise on the right material and finish for each area based on foot traffic, vehicle loads and sun exposure.
In most established villa communities, changes to driveways, boundary walls and retaining walls typically require a community NOC from the developer or homeowners' association, particularly where the work affects the property boundary, shared walls, or the street-facing elevation. Requirements vary by community. We identify what approvals your specific project needs and manage the NOC submission and documentation on your behalf.
A driveway repaving or patio project typically takes one to three weeks depending on area size and material. Larger scopes — retaining walls, boundary walls, multiple paved zones, or work combined with pergola bases and steps — usually run three to six weeks. We provide a project-specific timeline once we've assessed the site and confirmed material lead times.
Yes — hardscaping is very often scoped alongside pool renovation for deck paving and landscaping for the planting around hard-surfaced areas, as part of one coordinated outdoor project. Sequencing structural hardscape work before planting and irrigation avoids having to work around finished garden beds. We coordinate all three disciplines under one contract when a project calls for it.
We'll visit your property, assess your driveway, walls and outdoor surfaces, and provide a clear, fixed-price scope of works — at no cost to you.
